We put down our phones, activate our senses, and just BE. Be with nature, and be with the moment.
Allow us to treat you to a weekend of restful and relaxing activities. Yoga, guided walks, weaving, mindful moments, and stand up paddle boarding.
Leave your work stories behind, and let the stories of old transport you to a different time away from all the toils of modern society. Absorb the traditions of the Maori culture - kiatiakitanga (guardianship), manaakitanga (taking care of things), whanaungatanga (kinship) - to enhance your current lifestyle.
Practice mindfulness as we host you through some tools to awaken your inner senses.
Never tried stand up paddle boarding?
No worries, this retreat also includes a SUP lesson for those who want it. We are qualified instructors and are all about SUP and the underlying benefits this sport provides.
You will have opportunities to paddle and swim a private lake, view the awesome glow worms at night, learn about the native bush, and take away a flax taonga woven by yourself. Share food and conversation (and wine) with like-minded women, sing and move to your heart's content.
This is also a weekend of bonding and friendships...
We will be staying in an exclusive Māori marae-style accommodation - that is a communal sleeping hall, or wharenui. Mattresses, pillows and sheets will be provided, just bring your blanky. This sleeping arrangement encourages whanaungatanga, or a sense of family connection, making for bonds that could last a lifetime. All food will be provided, but we'll work together as a whānau (family) to prepare our meals.
Upon registration, you will soon after receive further information, including the agenda and what to bring. The event runs from 6pm Friday 28 September through to 2pm Sunday 30 September. Perfect timing as we see out the tail end of winter, and say kia ora to summer.
